I was brought up as a Christian Orthodox, never considered myself to religious, but did the normal religious things, going on Sunday to church, confessing to a priest, taking communion on Sunday and just being an obedient Christian person. I only kept going to church because this is where I felt God's presence, it was never really to socialise because I never felt the people were really sincere in my Egyptian community, and so I never really felt connected with them, but I always felt that I need to be faithful to God no matter what is the environment around me. Until I finished writing a spiritual book that will soon be released, I realized that God is within you, He's not just in a building, and you see Him everywhere there is kindness, generosity, humbleness, love. Whenever you see those qualities in people, you see God. Whenever you see love, you see God. I also realized that rules and regulations are not made for you to stop being who you are supposed to be on Earth, they may help you in the beginning of your spiritual path but they serve no purpose anymore when your spirit is lifted up with God then the religious rules will suffocate you if you don't break free of them. So the important thing that you must ask yourself, is what you are doing today helping to grow as a person, emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. Is it helping you to give more love to others, to help more the less fortunate, to become more of a spiritual loving person, or is what you are doing dragging you down, making you procrastinate, being trapped in just a routine, just because everyone is doing it, you are doing it too. Do the actions that make you feel good, that helps you be a great loving person and that helps to get to your dreams. Don't let ignorance stop you from walking on the right path. Ask God to reveal to you the truth about how you ought to live your life. And He will guide you every step of the way.

We hear often you need to forgive the ones that hurt you. It's not easy to forgive someone who has affected your life, because of their mistakes. What you are not realizing is that God allowed it for a reason. Anything that happens in your life is allowed by God, if He did not want you to meet that person or to live that challenge He would have stopped it. If God allowed you to meet that person or to have a dad that was not there for you or a mom that had issues and was not there for you emotionally it's because you needed that person to make you stronger, to be able to forgive and to let go of all this baggage. Everyone has been hurt by someone, what makes a difference between 2 people is their reaction to it. Are you going to carry the pain or do you decide to let go of it, and set yourself free. Forgiveness does not mean that you approve of their mistakes, it only means that you decide not to be hurt anymore by that person, and you let go of that pain. They will never have control over you anymore when you let go of the negative emotions. As long as you hold a grudge, you are holding on to pain, when you let go and decide that you are not the one who need to punish that person, that it's God's job to do so and you let go of the hurt, pain, anger, sadness that they left you with, you set yourself free and now you are free to follow your dreams. Having anger, being sad, being depressed, being an anxious person will never get you to your dreams. You have to let go of all those negatives emotions to be able to focus on your dreams. The more you let go, the more you feel you are getting closer to your goals and dreams. Love, spread peace and forgive.

How could you forgive someone who backstabbed you. Well you really can't without the help of God. Our human nature is to egocentric to be able to forgive anyone, but God's Spirit can overcome any human weakness. And so you just have to ask God to help you forgive that person. And you ask God, until you forgive to the point that you even pray for that person. You are going to tell me, I don't want to think about that person who did wrong to me and pray for him. Well, in order to really find out if you have forgiven that person pray for him. If you can't then you have not forgiven him. You sill are holding a grudge..a human being can full himself many times. Just pray a few times you don't need to do it for the rest of your life, just enough to know if you have truly forgiven that person. Because many of us, including myself may think that we have forgiven someone, but in reality thinking about them still makes us feel angry, sad, frustrated, etc..But if you think about them and you feel love, peace and just a letting go feeling of frustration and anger toward that person, than you have truly forgiven that person. Why is it that important to forgive? Because you need to set yourself free from the pain that they have inflicted on you. Otherwise you will carry that pain and it will drag you down. When you let go, and let God be the judge and be the one that will take care of the wrong doing of people, than you feel free. You have crushed that evil spirit that doesn't want you to move on and focus on the right people in your life and the important things that you need to do to achieve your goals and dreams. Remember forgiving doesn't mean you approved what they did, and it doesn't mean that you choose to still be in their lives; it just means that you refuse to hold on to any negative emotions in your heart. For some of you it's hard enough to find out what your heart desires, you don't need people to discourage you once you know what are your dreams and the steps that you need to take to achieve them. Sometimes you have a clear idea of your passion and dreams, and sometimes you just know the next step that you need to take and see where it leads you. It may just be taking a class to see if you like it, or you know that you want to have a business and so you start dong the steps towards it. Be aware of your friends and family, a lot of them know you since you were little and so they think they know who you are and they think they have the right to tell you what to do. They have the right to give their opinion and you have the right to keep your projects to yourself if you think their opinion will be negative. A lot of them don't mean wrong, they are just not thinking before talking they don't know the power of words, and that one word from them can discourage you completely from attaining your dreams. So choose wisely who you want to share your dreams with, who you want to share your creative ideas with, and who you want to open your heart to. We are not in a physical war it is a spiritual one and as long as you know who and what you are fighting against than you will achieve your dreams in God's timing.

It doesn't matter where you come from, which family you were born from, who are the people that are surrounding you, where do you live, what is your financial situation, you can be in the desert, by yourself completely with little water and little sun, and still you can bloom like a nice beautiful flower. In other words what matters is you. Your beliefs, your dreams, your goals, you as a person, that's what really matters for God. You are going to ask me, "its's not enough me, who am I to be successful like the ones that I look up to. I can never be like that singer, or that inspirational coach, or like that real estate guru." And I will tell you:" you can be whoever you want to be. You are in a form of a seed, and the ones that inspires you and are successful are already in a form of a flower. They were looking like you, like a simple small seed easy to crash and easy to loose, but they did the actions, and they believed in their dreams, and if you look where they come from...a lot of them were from the bottom..just like you. You can choose to do the work and follow the steps they did to become a beautiful flower, and be successful or you can choose to not do anything and not believe in your dreams and be that seed that will never grow; stay in the dirt and maybe lost forever. It's your life, you have to own it, you have to look into your heart see what is it longing for, listen to that inside voice that is telling you what are the next steps to achieve your small and big goals. And feed it, feed that seed of your dreams, give it the water and the sun it needs. If you are lucky you will have friends and family to support you, but if you are in the desert and you don't feel anyone will understand your dreams then information is out there now to grab what you need and self-learn, you can go to seminars, take classes, make connections..there are so many open doors you just got to make the decision to enter in them. Also, change your beliefs, make them positive, hopeful and strong, have faith that God is standing next to you when no one else is, and have faith that He will pour the water and give you what you need if he sees your doing the work. Whatever excuses you are giving yourself not to follow your dreams, is just a wall that you put around yourself and this attitude will never set you free. Break free, work on yourself, follow the ones that inspires you, do what they did, a lot of times you don't need to reinvent the wheel, you only need to start; making the decisions that one day you will become a flower and that you will start today doing the first step toward it.

When we look at a tree, we overlook how long it took to grow, to become strong, to have leafs, and to be fruitful. Why are we expecting when we start working toward our goals for us to grow fast magically and produce fruits that people would want to eat from. It takes time, it takes a lot of digging first, a lot of dirt work, to plant the seed and than it takes a lot of water, a lot of good food, a lot of nutrition and a lot of sun. If one of those ingredients are missing the tree will not grow strong and standing tall and mighty. So how do you measure if you are growing in a good rhythm not too slow and not too fast. By how you feel. If you feel happy everyday and feel right about what you do toward your goals than you are already successful and you are growing strong. Also, if you see the growth within; meaning you feel each day you have learned something new, or you have become aware of something you were not aware of before..when you see spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual growth each day in your life, than keep doing what you are doing, you are in the right path and you only need now to be patient. But if you do actions and it doesn't feel right, you feel you are not learning anything knew anymore, you feel like you are stuck in a dead-end, you don't feel happy in the morning, you don't feel any growth, than you need to change your goals, or the direction that you are taking; the steps and actions that you are taking. Always reevaluate what you are doing everyday and see if it's leading you to a growth or to stagnation. May God give you wisdom and lead you to the right path for your happiness, strength and success.
