Being a father is a feeling that words cannot explain adequately, it is being strong and protective yet helpless at the same time. Men know that they cannot protect their children from everything, but that does not stop a father from trying. The flood of emotions that a child can cause in their father is enormous. Real men understand that being a father means supporting their child in every way possible instead of running from their responsibilities.
There's so much negative imagery of black fatherhood. I've got tons of friends that are doing the right thing by their kids, and doing the right thing as a father - and how come that's not as newsworthy?
