Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. The first time I trust you and you betray me or make a fool of me it is your shame because you returned my trust with something negative and repaid my kindness with betrayal. If I trust you again and you make a fool of me twice then that is my mistake. After your first betrayal I knew what kind of a person you were and what your character was like, yet I still allowed myself to trust and believe in you a second time. A wise person knows that a snake does not change how it acts. A snake will bite you and never have a moment's regret, and the same is true of someone who is false and deceptive.

A good person is kind and generous to those who are loyal and faithful friends and loved ones. If someone fools you a single time then they should be eliminated from your life. This person will never be someone that you can trust and you will always have to wonder if they are trying to deceive you or playing you for a fool. Life is too short to tolerate this type of behavior. Surround yourself with people who truly care about you and who will always be there whenever you need someone to confide in or lean on. Don't waste your time with people who are only out to use you or try and portray you in a negative light, you deserve better than this.
