Our world moves at such a fast pace these days that it is reminiscent of old sci-fi movies of the past. It is these advances that make people think, that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Even though we don't have flying cars yet, there are several things in our daily lives that work just like magic. If you would have told me, as a child, that I could connect to the internet without a cable I would have told you that you were crazy. However, look around you and you see that Wi-Fi is everywhere, and even cities are providing citizens with free access.

It is the element of magic that makes our society push on to develop new things. In the next several years there will be numerous technological advancements that further surprise us. Without people dreaming up these "magical" ideas we would not have the interesting things that we have now. A smartphone is a perfect example of having a computer in your pocket, which was unrealistic until a decade ago. Now, everywhere you go people have these smartphones that they no longer use to call anyone. Seeing how far we have come over the past century, it will be interesting to see how far we advance in the next hundred years.
