All too often we go through this life and do not pay enough attention toward learning. You need to remember that your mind is a garden. Your thoughts are the seeds. You can grow flowers or you can grow weeds.
Every day is a new day to learn and enjoy your life. More often than not people turn to the wrong sources of mental stimulation. People like to have things instantly, so they won't take the time to learn anything new. Instead of doing any research on topics, they simply plug information in a search engine and the results just pop off. Worse than that, there are some people that choose not to learn anything new at all. These people would rather pay attention to pop culture and negative tabloids.
The second half of this quote refers to the information that you are feeding your mind. If you are planting positive information it will grow into flowers. These seeds are true information that you can use and apply to your life. The weeds, refers to the lower quality information that you plant. There are few minds that are blossoming off of pop culture as the main diet. Now that your brain is one of the most important organs in your body, and it needs exercise too. Remember this the next time that you are sitting around and looking for something to do. Instead of turning to your usual activities, why not try something new and educate yourself on something new.
