Propaganda is information that is designed to have an influence and change or reinforce the way that the population thinks. Propaganda quotes show that this is a tactic often used in war, but some countries use propaganda on their own citizens as well. When these materials are created the goal is not to show all the facts or provide information in an impartial way, propaganda is created to do the opposite and to influence the people who hear or see it. One problem with propaganda is that the response that it provokes is emotional, and it is not a response based on knowledge and reasoning. There are many ways that propaganda can be disseminated. Leaflets, television ads, radio announcements, newspaper articles and advertisements, movie trailers, and other methods have all been used in the past to spread propaganda.
