Hanukkah is a Jewish holiday, and it may be called the Feast of Dedication or even the Festival of Lights. Unlike most holidays Hanukkah lasts for 8 days straight, and it is customary for Jewish children to get a gift each night during the Hanukkah period. Each night during the holiday one more candle is lit on a special candle holder, so that on the 8th day there are 8 candles lit in the window.
