The greatest prison people live in is the fear of what other people think, meaning most times we concentrate our mind on what other people view or thought might be when we plan on taking some certain steps in life, and due to this reason, some plans end up as a failed goal.
First and foremost, your business in life is not to think about what other people think about you, but how to become a better vision of yourself than you were yesterday. Oftentimes, most people are so much concerned about what friends, close ones, family, or certain specific people may think before they decide to embark on a plan. In life, in order to move forward you have to be confident in your opinion, not that of a third party. You can only live the life you want when you worry less about others. You might think that everyone you care about also does the same about you, but the honest truth is that some people will not care about you no matter what you do. Always remember that you own your journey; therefore, you are responsible for your choices, decisions, and mistakes.
Life is too short to be guided by other people's decisions. When you sit down and wonder how many people's opinions have influenced your decision, you may end up discovering that some of their opinions were worthless. You must know that nobody is perfect, and your mistakes are yours. When you fail from your opinion, it improves your knowledge of what you need to know to do better.
