Every first step requires faith, and even if you do not see the staircase you have to have faith that the path is there. In life there are few guarantees, and we need to approach it one day at a time. Every journey begins with a single step, and that step is taken in faith that the staircase will become visible over time. When you have faith then you know something is real, even if you can not see or touch it right this minute. There is no scientific evidence to back up your belief, and if you do not have faith that the first step leads to an entire staircase then you could fail to make this important step. In order to reach your full potential you must believe that the first step leads to something better.

No matter what your goals are you will need to have faith in the outcome. Just because you can not see the entire path in the beginning this is no reason not to start. Without the first step a journey can not start, and this may be the hardest step of all to take because of the uncertainty. Faith allows you to move forward, even if you are not sure of the outcome that you will see from your passage. You believe that something better waits for you in the future, and this faith will help you take the first step even when the future is not completely clear and you can not be sure of how your journey will end.
