Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Hatred and darkness can blind you and leave you bitter. Negative emotions like hatred are like a poison in your soul, slowly eating away at you until you are left as an empty shell with noting good inside. Love can conquer hatred, it is like a light in the darkness which provides warmth and comfort. If you have been hurt or wronged by someone forgiveness and compassion can seem impossible but the truth is that these are the positive emotions which can change your life completely. Instead of hating the person try to see things from their perspective and remember that we are all humans. No one is pure good or pure bad, every person has both of these aspects inside of them. It is how you choose to respond that determines which side of yourself you allow to win. When you continue to hate you are letting the darkness take over and you will never find true inner peace. Fill your life with love so that hatred and negativity can not exist, your love will drive away the negativity and allow you to live a richer and fuller life as a result.
