Added Date - Mar 20, 2020

According to members of the family a stage 4 breast cancer survivor and single mom to six children has contracted the Covid-19 virus and passed away in Snohomish County. Sundee Rutter is remembered by those who knew her as someone who would put up a fierce fight, but sadly at the age of 42 years old she died from the novel coronavirus.

Sundee Rutter was no stranger to hardship, her husband passed away years ago, and her six children are now without either parent to look out for them. The local community has come together to support the kids, and there is a GoFundMe which has been started under the Ross-Rutter family name which was set up to benefit the children.

According to Jessica Harris, who was best friends with Sundee Rutter, “She was a wonderful person, and there’s not many like her out there anymore. Great friend, great mother, great wife, she was a wonderful person. We’re pretty devastated, she beat cancer and lost the battle to Coronavirus? It’s just crazy. And then when I got the news of her, I was like 'Oh my God, this is not something to play with, this is serious' and now my outlook is different."

Jessica Harris immediately thought of the children left without their mother, saying "Her children need somebody to help them because the oldest is going to be leaving college and trying to find housing so he can take care of his siblings. And that's really tough. She was the kindest person you would ever meet. She was always there for everyone. And I will miss her."
