How hard is it to sit still? We always want to feel like we’re making plans, when really we are on God’s time. It’s hard to “Be Still” and wait for God. If you want to achieve something in life, you try to aggressively go after what you want. You think you are in control but learning to trust God is realizing you have no control.
Sometimes, the best answer to a problem, is to do nothing. Ciara is someone who has learned this in her life. She has had lots of parts of her life publicized, especially her breakups. Without having God in her life, she wouldn’t have been able to weather that storm. She also needed to be still, because there was nothing she could’ve done to fix the fallout.
A lot of times, we get tired of waiting for the right things to come into our lives. So, we settle for what is around us right now. You need to trust that God has a better plan than your own. He wants you to be fulfilled, while you want to settle to save yourself from feeling alone or left behind. Ciara says that God is the only thing that has been consistent in her life.
We go through difficult times to evolve into stronger and more well-balanced people. You need to know that anything he has planned for you is bigger and better than you could ever plan for yourself. God will give you the patience and courage to wait on these things. Remember, God grants you the serenity to accept the things that you cannot change… control can be addictive as well.
When you’ve done everything you can, it’s time to sit down. Trust that God has control over your life, and he will lead you to greener pastures.
Ciara is proof that everything works out in the end. Just because you suffer through tragedies, doesn’t mean that you won’t have happiness on the other side.
